24-TET Keys

Sound is generated on your device: 24-TET Keys generates its built-in sound on your device. It can also send the notes you play to connected MIDI apps and devices, including over your local network. It does not use the camera or the microphone. From version 1.3 the app reports how it is used and how it fails.

What We Collect

24-TET Keys has no accounts and no sign-in, and does not ask for your name or email. It does not use the camera or the microphone. From version 1.3 we collect how the app is used and how it fails through Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics:

  • Which screens are opened, when the app is used and for how long
  • The device model, operating system and app version, language, and the country and region your network address points to
  • Identifiers associated with this app installation and device
  • Crash and error reports: where the app stopped and what it was doing

Firebase's own handling of this data is described in the Firebase Privacy and Security policy.

MIDI Connections

24-TET Keys is a MIDI controller: it sends the notes you play to the music apps and devices connected to it, over USB, a MIDI session on your local network, or another MIDI connection. These connections carry the notes and pitch-bend you play. They are not routed to us.

What Stays On Your Device

Your keyboard, sound and MIDI settings are stored on your device. We do not receive them.

Network Use

When you use network MIDI, the app sends MIDI messages to connected devices on your local network. Usage and crash reports are sent to Firebase when an internet connection is available.
